Fraud involving Tinkoff card registered in Penza

Penza, 24 February 2017. PenzaNews. The Penza police started investigation upon a fraud involving a card of Tinkoff Bank.

"A 56-year-old resident turned to the police department No. 4 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. She explained that her 39-year-old friend called her on the mobile phone and said that she posted a notice about selling a sheepskin coat on the website Avito.ru and that she was waiting for a call of a buyer, who needed a card of Tinkoff bank in order to transfer the money. Soon, an unknown person called the woman and said that she had to dictate the number of the card and the codes, which she will receive in the SMS," the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told PenzaNews.
The department added that the woman followed the instruction of the criminal and after that discovered that 28,000 rubles were withdrawn from her card.
Police officers take measures in order to identify the persons involved in the crime," the press service said.
