Fraudster sends SMS with apology after he cheats on Penza resident

Penza, 26 March 2017. PenzaNews. Police officers are establishing the identity of a fraudster who swindled a 37-year-old resident of Penza out of 3,000 rubles having promised to return a lost mobile phone.

"The woman posted a notice on the Internet that her daughter lost a mobile phone and stated her phone number as a contact. After some time, an unknown person called her and said that he was ready to return the phone for a monetary reward," the press service of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region told PenzaNews.
The department added that the woman transferred 3,000 rubles to a mobile phone account of the person who called.
"After that she received an SMS: 'I am sorry, I cheated, do not get angry'," the police said.
The press service said that an investigation on this fact is conducted.
