Activities of Hizb ut-Takhrir organization stopped in Penza region
Penza, 29 March 2017. PenzaNews. The Federal Security Service together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation stopped activities of the international terrorist organization "Party of Liberation" (Hizb ut-Tahrir) forbidden in Russia as a result of the event held in the territory of the Moscow and Penza regions on Tuesday, March 28.

During the searches conducted on the criminal case that had been previously opened by the department of the Federal Security Service in Russia, three members of the terrorist organization were arrested including one of its leaders.
"The department revealed and confiscated religious propaganda literature, communication facilities, electronic storage media, as well as other physical evidence proving illegal activities of the members of the organization forbidden in Russia," the message posted on the website of the Federal Security Service states.
"Party of Liberation" (Hizb ut-Tahrir) is recognized as terrorist in a number of countries. In Russia, its activities have been forbidden by a decision of the Supreme Court since 2003.
The aim of the organization is to eliminate non-Muslim governments and to establish Islamic rule on a global scale by creation of "The world Islamic caliphate".
