Penza, 14 June 2017. PenzaNews. A cash collector who works in Nizhny Lomov of the Penza region is suspected of embezzling money on an especially large scale.

"In the course of the inspection it was established that in June 2017 the young man appropriated deposited funds totalling over 1.9 million rubles. During the holidays the criminal managed to lose 1 million rubles of the stolen money on the Internet," the senior assistant of the head of the regional prosecutor for media relations Svetlana Artamonova told PenzaNews.

She added that the remaining sum was confiscated.

"The criminal case under Part 4, Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ‘Appropriation or embezzlement’, which presupposes imprisonment for up to 10 years, was opened against the man," the interlocutor explained.
