In Penza former chief accountant of kindergarten put on probation for embezzlement of 1.7 million rubles

Penza, 27 June 2017. PenzaNews. A 54-year-old resident of Penza, who committed a theft of about 2 million rubles during her work in a kindergarten, received a suspended sentence for the term of 3 years.

"It was established that the chief accountant of a municipal preschool educational institution of Penza drew the payroll for the institution allocating herself an inflated salary monthly from 2014 to June 2016. As a result, the institution suffered damages in the amount of 1.7 million rubles," the senior assistant of the head of the regional prosecutor for media relations Svetlana Artamonova told PenzaNews.
She explained that the fact of the serious fraud was revealed when new employees – an administrator and a chief accountant – came to work to the kindergarten.
"The accused woman fully confessed to the crime and compensated for the damages," the interlocutor noted.
