Penza, 30 October 2017. PenzaNews. A 73-year-old resident of Kuznetsk of the Penza region transferred over 600,000 roubles to a pseudo-clairvoyant from March 2016 to July 2017.

"In March 2016, on one of TV channels the woman saw a programme featuring the deceiver who said she was a clairvoyant capable of predicting the future and she called the phone number indicated on the screen. The pensioner told the unknown about her problems," the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia told PenzaNews.

The department explained that the victim had subsequently received calls from strangers who introduced themselves as the clairvoyant's assistants and asked to transfer money for a positive result of the work.

"The woman transferred 607,000 roubles to different settlement accounts," the police specified.

The press service added that investigation on this fact was organized.

Police officers take measures to identify persons involved in the crime," the department added.
