As the press secretary of the Pervomaisky area court of Penza Sergei Maslov told PenzaNews, the request for the preventive measure against the lawyer submitted by a regional investigator of the second division for investigation of especially important cases under the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation had been considered on Tuesday, November 28.

He explained that according to the preliminary investigation bodies, the lawyer mediated in implementation of an agreement between the bribe giver and the person to whom the illegal gratification on an especially large scale – 24,650,000 roubles - was intended.

According to the court representative, the investigator advocated a preventive measure of restraint in the form of detention but his request was not satisfied.

"[The court decided] to impose against the accused Ryabyshev a pre-trial restraint in the form of house arrest for the period of two months from the moment of his arrest, that is until January 26, 2018 inclusive," Sergei Maslov specified.

According to the information available, the lawyer's detention is connected to the criminal case against the deputy of the Penza City Duma Georgy Tyurin, member of the United Russia faction, who was accused of receiving a bribe in a particularly large amount.

The preventive measure against him in the form of detention was further extended on Monday, November 27, for the term of two months – until February 2, 2018.
