Penza, 19 December 2017. PenzaNews. A criminal case was opened on the fact of telephone fraud, whose victim was a 63-year-old resident of the Nizhnelomovsky area of the Penza region, who believed in the possibility of getting about 500,000 roubles.

"An unknown person called her and introduced himself as a police officer. The stranger said that the woman was to receive compensation in the amount of 460,000 roubles for using services of the psychic in December 2016 as the latter had turned out to be a fraudster and had been brought to criminal responsibility. The caller added that to receive the compensation it was necessary to pay the tax – 13% of the sum of transfers," the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation told PenzaNews.

The department added that the victim transferred 20,000 roubles to another banc account.

Police officers take measures to identify persons involved in the crime.
