A criminal case on illegal hunting was initiated on the fact of shooting 12 wild boars in two kilometres from the village of Dolgorukovo of the Issinsky area of the Penza region. This was reported by the senior assistant of the head of the regional prosecutor for media relations Svetlana Artamonova.

"The carcasses of the animals with gunshot wounds were found during the inspection of the scene," the interlocutor said.

She added that the damage caused to the state as a result of the illegal hunting was estimated at 720,000 roubles.

The circumstances of the crime committed are being clarified.
