General director of Penzastroy Valentin Zhuravlev convicted

Penza, 2 February 2018. PenzaNews. The 80-year-old general director of the LLC Penzastroy, honoured builder of Russia Valentin Zhuravlev was found guilty of committing a crime under the Art. 315 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Non-execution of a court's judgement, decision, or any other juridical act".

"It was established that the general director of the LLC Penzastroy [Valentin] Zhuravlev had known about the court judgement on recovery of cash resources from the company, which entered into legal force, and had been warned by a bailiff-executor of criminal liability for a wilful failure to satisfy it. Despite this, in the presence of a real possibility to repay the debt on executive documents, from November 18 to December 9, 2016, without informing the bailiff-executor [Valentin] Zhuravlev gave an instruction to use funds from the settlement account of the organization for purposes that were not connected with the execution of the court decisions including for purchasing lift equipment and payments to contracting organizations, the senior assistant of the head of the regional prosecutor for media relations Svetlana Artamonova told PenzaNews.

She explained that given the position of the state prosecutor, a punishment in the form of a fine in the amount of 150,000 roubles was appointed by a magistrate of judicial district No. 4 of the Leninsky district of Penza as of January 31, 2018.

"The verdict has not entered into legal force," the interlocutor noted.
