Penza, 8 February 2018. PenzaNews. A 45-year-old man from Penza transferred 120,000 roubles to fraudsters when trying to purchase a Range Rover car having seen an advertisement on the Avito.ru website.

As the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told PenzaNews, the man saw the advertisement about selling the foreign car and called a contact number.

"An unknown person explained that in order to purchase the car a prepayment in the amount of 120,000 roubles must be transferred to the account of a bank card. Following instructions of the stranger, the man transferred the specified amount of money, after which the malefactor switched off the phone," the department explained.

The department noted that investigation on the fact of fraud is conducted.

Police officers take measures to identify persons involved in the crime.
