Penza, 8 June 2018. PenzaNews. A criminal case under Part 2, Art. 145.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Non-payment of salaries, wages, pensions, stipends, benefits and other payments" was opened against general director of the Penza company JSC Penzpromstroy Vyacheslav Cherkasov following prosecutor's investigation. This was reported by the senior assistant of the head of the regional prosecutor for media relations Svetlana Artamonova.

According to her, it was established that the salaries were not paid to 14 employees in November and December 2017 as well as to 17 workers from February to April 2018.

"The prosecutor of the Zheleznodorozhny area of Penza initiated proceedings on administrative offence against JSC Penzpromstroy and its general director under Part 7, Art. 5.27 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation 'Violating labour laws and labour protection laws '," the interlocutor explained.

Svetlana Artamonova added that 70 statements to recover the accrued but unpaid salaries over January-May 2018 for a total amount of 2 million roubles had been sent to court in the interests of company's employees.

"Currently, 57 of them for the sum of over 1.7 million roubles have been satisfied by court. Others are under consideration," she clarified.
