Resident of Lunino suspected of posting extremist materials on social network

Lunino, 10 June 2018. PenzaNews. A criminal case was opened against a resident of the Lunino village of the Penza region for an offense under Part 1, Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as abasement of human dignity".

"According to the investigation, from April 2015 to May 2018 using a personal computer the man posted audio and video materials as well as pictures of an extremist nature aimed at inciting hatred and enmity against a person or group of persons on grounds of nationality and origin on his profile on a social network," Tatyana Makhnitskaya, senior assistant of the head of the regional investigative department for media relations under the Investigative Committee of Russia, told PenzaNews.
She noted that the profile of the Lunino resident was available for viewing to the public.
"Currently, a complex of investigative actions aimed at securing evidence base is conducted. A psycho-linguistic examination by a commission has been appointed in the framework of the criminal case," the interlocutor specified.
