Resident of Issa convicted of murder of cat for piece of sausage in front of children
Penza, 5 September 2018. PenzaNews. A 52-year-old resident of Issa was sentenced to 7 months of corrective work with deduction of 10% of his salary to state revenue for killing a cat.

The man was convicted under Item b, Part 2, Art. 245 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Cruelty to animals".
"It was established within the case that in the evening on May 5, 2018, in the presence of four young children on a street of the village of Issa he caught a cat, took him by the hind legs and hit it several times on a concrete pillar causing torture and death," the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Penza region told PenzaNews.
The department specified that according to the men he had been angry at the cat because it had stolen a piece of a sausage.
"The verdict of the court entered into legal force," the Prosecutor's Office said.
