Number of crimes increases in Penza region

Penza, 30 October 2018. PenzaNews. Almost 9,500 crimes were registered in the Penza region from January to September 2018, which is 7.8% more than over the same period last year. This was reported by the senior assistant of the regional prosecutor for media relations Svetlana Artamonova.

She noted that the increase in crime number was observed in 16 areas and that in two areas the number of crimes had increased by over 30%: in the Leninsky area – by 35.6%, in the Kameshkirsky area – by 32.7%.
"The decrease in the number of registered crimes is observed in 15 areas, and in two of them the number of crimes decreased by more than 15%: in the Vadinsky area – by 17.9% and the Bekovsky area – by 29.3%," the interlocutor explained adding that the number of crimes in the Maloserdobinsky and Shemysheysky areas had remained unchanged.
"As a result of criminal attacks, 140 people were killed, 256 people suffered serious harm to their health," the senior assistant of the regional prosecutor said.
