Minors commit crimes more often in Penza region
Penza, 25 January 2019. PenzaNews. The increase in the number of crimes committed by persons under the age of 18 was observed in the Penza region at the end of 2018. This was reported by senior assistant of the regional prosecutor for media relations Svetlana Artamonova.

She specified that the number had increased by more than 3% – to 225.
"Altogether 12,829 crimes were registered over 12 months of 2018 in the Penza region, which is 8.5% more than in 2017. 1,127 of the crimes related to illicit trafficking in drugs, psychotropic and potent substances, 159 ones – to the field of illegal arms trafficking, 96 – to corruption, and 23 – to housing and communal services," the interlocutor specified.
Svetlana Artamonova added that more than 7,000 criminals had been identified in the region, with over 6,000 men.
"In cities and urban settlements 9,272 crimes were committed, in rural areas – 3,556, outside the Russian Federation – one," the representative of the Prosecutor's Office said.
