"In 2018 six criminal cases under Art. 171.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation 'Illegal organization and conduct of gambling' were initiated. The activity of 13 illegal gaming clubs was stopped," the ministry explained.

The department specified that the work proceeded, and since the beginning of 2019 24 units of the game equipment had already been withdrawn.

"The police of the Penza region warns: all premises where facts of illegal organization and conduct of gambling were previously revealed, are under constant control of police officers and are regularly checked," the press service added.
