Increase in number of corruption crimes reaches almost 50% in Penza region

Penza, 13 June 2019. PenzaNews. The number of corruption-related crimes registered in the Penza region in the first five months of 2019 increased by more than 48% compared with the same period of 2018. This was stated in a message spread by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

According to the supervisory department, from January to May, 2018, the number of such crimes equalled to 56 and since the beginning of 2019 the number has exceeded 80.

According to available information, altogether 5,418 crimes were registered in the region in five months of the present year, which is 1.6% more than a year ago.
