Penza, 28 June 2019. PenzaNews. A criminal case on the fact of illegal felling of forest vegetation on an especially large scale was opened in the Kuznetsky area of the Penza region.

According to senior assistant of the regional prosecutor for media relations Svetlana Artamonova, the crime was committed in the territory of the Chibirleysky forestry.

"The damage to forest resources amounted to almost 297,000 roubles," she said.

The progress of the investigation of the criminal case is under control of the prosecutor's office.
