Penza, 4 August 2019. PenzaNews. A 32-year-old Penza resident who was driving an excavator on a road near the village of Kazarka, Nikolsky district, was operating it in a state of intoxication. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"Previously, he had been deprived of the right to drive for a similar violation," the agency noted.

The police explained that therefore a criminal proceeding had been instituted under Art. 264. of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic regulations by a person who has been subjected to an administrative penalty".

The sanction of the article provides punishment up to imprisonment for a period of up to two years.
