Juvenile delinquency increases significantly in Penza region
Penza, 6 August 2019. PenzaNews. Adolescents committed 119 crimes in the Penza region in the first six months of 2019, which is 19% more than in the same period in 2018. This was reported by the press service of the regional Prosecutor's Office.

The supervisory authority specified that the greatest number of crimes committed by persons under the age of 18 had been registered in Penza – 57 cases, Belinsky area – 8, Penzensky area – 7, Kolyshleisky and Luninsky areas – 6 cases in each, Kamensky and Spassky – 5 cases in each, Zarechny – 4 cases.
"The number of minors who committed crimes has also increased," the press service noted.
The Prosecutor's Office added that the main reasons inciting teenagers to violate the law were the level of family education, low level of parental control, weak organization of leisure time and negative influence of the environment.
"Thus, 17 crimes were committed by minors in public places between 21.00 and 8.00," the press service said.
