Penza, 9 August 2019. PenzaNews. A 21-year-old man working at a car wash in Penza confessed to stealing the car of a client who had left the vehicle for the night to have the cabin cleaned.

According to the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the young man decided to drive home to Shemysheisky area in the car of the client but got into an accident on the way – the vehicle drove into a ditch and caught fire.

"The suspect was taken to a police department for further investigation," the institution said.

The press service specified that a criminal case under Part 1, Art. 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Illegal possession of a car or other vehicle without the purpose of theft" had been initiated.
