Penza, 10 September 2019. PenzaNews. A 52-year-old Penza resident transferred 90,000 roubles to an unknown person in order to get a loan on favourable terms.

"According to the man, he received a call from an unknown man, who introduced himself as a bank employee from St. Petersburg. The stranger offered to issue a loan of 200,000 roubles on favourable terms, which required payment of insurance, courier and collector services, as well as card activation," the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Penza region told PenzaNews.

The agency added that the Penza resident had followed the instructions of the caller and transferred the money to specified details, but never got a loan.

A criminal case was initiated on the fact of fraud.
