Penza, 26 September 2019. PenzaNews. 122 crimes were solved in Penza region in the first seven months of 2019 thanks to the use of the hardware and software complex Safe City. This was reported by the head of the regional department of public security and ensuring the activities of magistrates, Nikolai Sarmin.

"At the end of seven months, 122 crimes and 44 offences were solved with the help of the hardware and software complex, not to mention traffic safety violations," he said at a meeting of the Penza region government on Thursday, September 26.

Nikolai Sarmin specified that 27 million roubles had been allocated from the regional budget for the development of Safe City in 2019.

"Currently, there are 290 video surveillance cameras in the places of mass stay of people on the street and road network of the region, including 94 cameras on the balance sheet of the state public institution Safe Region and 196 video cameras of third parties," the head of the department added.
