Penza, 27 October 2019. PenzaNews. A criminal case on the grounds of an offence under Part 1, Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm" was initiated on the fact of beating a 35-year-old resident of the village of Zasechnoye, Penza region, near a house in Raduzhnaya Street at night. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"Criminal investigation officers established that it was a previously prosecuted 32-year-old resident of Penza who had beaten the victim by hands causing various fractures," the agency explained, adding that the suspect had confessed.

The press service said the victim had been hospitalized.

The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
