Penza, 3 December 2019. PenzaNews. A 54-year-old resident of Penza lost 200,000 roubles trying to protect her money on the accounts of two bank cards.

"According to the woman, she received a call from the 900 number from an unknown person who introduced herself as a bank security officer. The stranger said that a suspicious operation involving an interlocutor’s card was being carried out and to prevent that, it was necessary to name the card number and confirmation codes," the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Penza region told PenzaNews.

The agency added that the resident of Penza had followed the instructions of the intruder. Then, she called the bank’s hotline and found out about the write-off of the money from the accounts of two cards.

Investigation on the fact is conducted.
