Penza, 5 January 2020. PenzaNews. A 35-year-old resident of Penza, driving a Lexus RX300 car stopped by the traffic police on Chaadaeva Street at night, was drunk. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"Previously, he had been deprived of the right to drive for a similar violation," the agency noted.

The police explained that therefore a criminal proceeding had been instituted under Art. 264. of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic regulations by a person subjected to an administrative penalty".

The sanction of the article provides punishment up to imprisonment for a period of up to two years.
