Penza resident receives set of screwdrivers having ordered car stereo over Internet

Penza, 23 February 2020. PenzaNews. A 48-year-old Penza resident who ordered a car stereo online became a victim of fraud:he got a set of screwdrivers instead and then went to the police.

"The man said he had ordered a car stereo worth more than 4,500 roubles on a website. The same day, he received a call from an unknown man who introduced himself as a store manager. With him, he agreed on a payment method and shipment of the car stereo by cash on delivery. Six days later, at the post office in Gogolya Street in Penza, the man received a parcel to find a set of screwdrivers inside instead of the ordered good. He explained to the police that he had been aware of such methods of deception," said the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
The department added that investigation on the fact of fraud was conducted.
