Penza, 15 May 2020. PenzaNews. First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Penza region Andrei Persanov was detained in a criminal case of fraud initiated against three people. This information was confirmed by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.

Earlier it became known that in accordance with Art. 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation, deputy chairman of the Penza region government – regional Minister of Agriculture Andrei Burlakov, one of his deputies and a person who is not an official, had been detained.

Their houses and offices were searched a day before. The detainees spent the night in a pre-trial detention centre.

The criminal case involves the embezzlement of budget funds. No details have yet been disclosed by the investigation.
