Penza, 16 May 2020. PenzaNews. A 30-year-old resident of Penza transferred 100 000 roubles to an unknown person in the hope of getting a loan. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"The woman left a request on a website, and soon she got a call from an unknown man who introduced himself as a manager. He said that the loan could be issued to the interlocutor, she only needed to transfer 4 500 roubles. The stranger added that the amount would activate an internal account, which was supposedly opened in the bank for the resident, and she would receive the money," the police explained.

The department added that the attackers, continuing to mislead the woman, had first convinced her of the impossibility to perform the operation, then – of the need to pay for insurance, and then started to lure money under other pretexts.

“As a result, in three days she transferred about 100 thousand roubles to fraudsters,” the press service said.
