Penza, 25 May 2020. PenzaNews. Vladimir Stryuchkov, former Minister of Health of Penza region, was sentenced to 3 years and 3 months of imprisonment in a general regime colony for committing crimes under Part 1, Art. 131 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Rape” and Part 1, Art. 132 of the Criminal Code “Violent Acts of a Sexual Nature”. This was reported to PenzaNews by Rafik Kerimov, administrator of the Sosnovoborsky District Court.

He added that the former official, who had been under house arrest since his arrest in May 2019, had been taken into custody in the courtroom.

When asked whether Vladimir Struchkov admitted his guilt, the court administrator replied negatively.

According to Rafik Kerimov, the prosecutor involved in the case asked the court to sentence the former minister to 4 years in prison.
