Serdobsk, 7 June 2020. PenzaNews. A 35-year-old resident of Saratov is suspected of stealing cognac, whiskey and coffee from a shop in Maksima Gorkogo Street in Serdobsk of Penza region.

"The man confessed to the crime. The intruder said he had stopped by the store to buy cottage cheese and yogurt. In the sales room, having made sure no one was watching him, he hid bottles of the liquor in pockets of trousers and jackets, paid only for dairy products at the cash desk and left the store," the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told PenzaNews.

The department specified that the cost of the stolen was more than 4 000 roubles.

"The man has drunk the alcohol," the press service said.

MIA explained that a criminal case had been opened on the theft, and police officers were checking the citizen for involvement in the commission of similar theft.
