Penza, 22 June 2020. PenzaNews. Employees of FSB departments in Penza and Saratov regions eliminated an underground laboratory for mephedrone production, which operated in a private house in one of the villages of Serdobsky area.

“Three suspects born in 1991, 1996 and 1998 were detained red-handed. Over 10 kg of mephedrone, equipment for the production of drugs and about 1 000 litres of various reagents and mixtures were found and seized," the press service of the regional office of FSB of Russia told PenzaNews.

The agency noted that the seized substances would be enough for the attackers to manufacture more than 100 kg of drugs.

"A criminal case has been initiated against the detainees," said the Federal Security Service.

The press service added that investigative actions and operational-search measures aimed at consolidation of evidence, revealing of other episodes of crime and identification of accomplices of the illegal activity were carried out.
