Penza, 6 July 2020. PenzaNews. A criminal case was initiated on the fact of fraud against a 17-year-old teenager from Penza who had tried to buy a driver’s license via the Internet.

According to the press service of an office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Penza region, the young man came across an advertisement for assistance in obtaining the right to drive without training.

"In the course of correspondence with a stranger on WhatsApp, he agreed to buy the service for 40 thousand roubles. Following stranger’s terms, within five days the student transferred the indicated amount to the account of the mobile number, after which the interlocutor stopped communicating,” the department said.

The police have explained that measures are currently being taken to identify those involved in the commission of the crime.
