Penza, 24 September 2020. PenzaNews. The verdict against a 46-year-old man who threw a cat out a window of an apartment building in Penza and was found guilty of animal abuse came into force. This was reported by the press service of the Penza region prosecutor's office.

“It was established that on the afternoon of December 19, 2019, a man had come to his colleague's home on work issues. When he was entering the apartment, a cat ran through the open door from the landing and attacked the owner's cat. The guest separated the animals, took the cat by the withers, went out onto the stairwell and threw it out the window between the 7th and 8th floors,” the supervisory authority said.

The press service added that residents had taken the cat with multiple injuries to veterinary clinic and turned to the police.

“In accordance with the position of the public prosecutor, the court imposed a fine of 20 000 roubles on the malefactor,” the prosecutor's office said.
