Number of crimes increases by 3.8% in Penza region over 11 months
Penza, 19 December 2020. PenzaNews. 12 515 crimes were registered in Penza region in January-November 2020, an increase compared to the same period of 2019 amounted to 3.8%. This was reported by the press service of the regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the supervisory authority, the number of especially grave crimes increased to 575, or 6.1%; the number of severe crimes – to 2 967 (+ 17.6%); those of low severity – to 6 739 (+ 0.8%). The number of crimes of average gravity decreased by 3.2%, that is to 2 234.
Increase in the number of registered crimes occurred in 16 areas of the region, whereas decrease was observed in 17 ones.
9 512 crimes, or 76% of the total, were committed in cities and urban-type settlements.
