A minor resident of Kolyshleysky area of Penza region is suspected of stealing a Toyota Camry, which was later discovered on the 7th km of the Kolyshley-Cherkassk highway with mechanical damage after an accident. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

“According to the criminal, he and his mother decided to visit a friend. Adults drank alcoholic beverages. The owner of the foreign car handed over the keys to his car to the young man with a request to put a package in the trunk. He did it. Then, without permission, he decided to have a drive in the car with his friend. At some point, the minor lost control and drove off the highway, after which the young people left the scene,” the police said.

The department noted that earlier the young man had been prosecuted for theft. Now he is registered with a juvenile affairs unit.
