Number of crimes committed through use of IT increases by 21% in region

Penza, 14 May 2021. PenzaNews. The number of crimes committed in Penza region in January-April 2021 using information and telecommunications technology increased by 21% compared to the same period in 2020. This is evidenced by data posted on the website of the regional Prosecutor's Office.

Number of crimes committed through use of IT increases by 21% in region

According to the information provided, there were 1 335 such crimes in the first four months of 2020 and 1 617 crimes in the same period this year.

According to official information, a total of 4 877 crimes were recorded in Penza region from January to April 2021. Thus, the proportion of crimes committed through the use of IT was 33%
