A resident of Penza, born in 1978, who rented a bicycle for an hour, leaving his passport as security, but did not return the property within the stipulated time, is suspected of fraud. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

“The perpetrator gave a confession and said that he had sold the stolen to an unknown person on Bekeshskaya Street,” the press release said.

It adds that a criminal case was initiated on this fact under Part 1, Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”.

“A coercive measure in the form of an obligation to appear was chosen against the suspect,” the text notes.
