Penza, 5 September 2021. PenzaNews. A resident of Penza, born in 1967, became a victim of fraud in an attempt to order intimate services over the Internet. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

“He called the number given in an advertisement. A girl responded and explained that she was ready to provide him with the service, but that it required a deposit of 1 000 roubles and payment of insurance in the amount of 4 500 roubles,” the press release said.

It notes that the gullible citizen of Penza transferred 5 500 roubles, but the girl did not come to him and her phone was switched off.

“Criminal proceedings were instituted in this case on the grounds of an offence under Part 1, Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation [‘Fraud’],” the text adds.
