Penza, 27 September 2021. PenzaNews. A resident of Penza, born in 1980, is suspected of stealing foodstuffs worth more than 4 000 roubles from a store. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

“Before committing the theft, the man made sure he was not being watched and then went through the cash register,” the press release notes.

It adds that criminal proceedings were instituted under Part 1, Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”.

“The perpetrator confessed and said that he had used the stolen property for personal purposes,” the text reads.
