Penza man suspected of stealing two coffee grinders explains his act by lack of money

Penza, 12 December 2021. PenzaNews. A 42-year-old resident of Penza’s Pervomaisky district, suspected of stealing two coffee grinders worth about 3 000 roubles from a digital equipment shop, explained his act by a lack of money. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

“The man admitted his guilt. According to him, he committed the crime because of his difficult financial situation. To this end, the perpetrator went into the shop and, making sure no one was watching him, took two coffee grinders from the window and put them in a bag that he had prepared in advance. After that he left the shop,” the press release says.
It adds that the suspect later sold the stolen goods to a thrift shop in Kalinina Street and spent the proceeds on his personal needs.
A criminal case under Part 1, Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft” was opened on the fact.
