Penza, 17 December 2021. PenzaNews. 12 616 crimes were registered in Penza region in the first 11 months of 2021, which is 0.8% more compared to the same period in 2020. This was stated in a message of the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the region.

“The crime detection rate was 62.1%,” the press release says.

It notes that the number of corruption-related and economic crimes increased by 31.6% and 9.4% to 154 and 640, respectively.

“The material damage caused (in completed and suspended criminal cases) amounted to 1 043 329 000 roubles, which is 66.1% more than in 2020,” the text specifies.

The report adds that property damage in the amount of 281 272 000 roubles was voluntarily repaid, property worth 200 849 roubles was seized, 23 898 000 roubles worth of property, money and valuables were taken away.
