Penza, 21 June 2011. PenzaNews. Lermontov’s Memorial Estate "Tarkhany", V.G. Belinsky Memorial Country Estate and the Saint Trinity-Skanov Monastery with the cave complex were included into the list of 50 best sights which should be seen in the Volga federal district. The list was generated within the limits of the interactive poll "Wonders of the Volga region by own eyes".

Seven main wonders of the Volga region are "Mary Chodra Park" (Mary El's Republic), the Island-hail Sviyazhsk, the Kazan Kremlin, the ancient city of Bular (Republic Tatarstan), the "Plakun" Waterfall, Kungurskaya Ice Cave (the Perm territory) and Svetloyar Lake (the Nizhny Novgorod region).

According to the press-service of the plenipotentiary of the president of the Russian Federation in the Volga region, on the basis of the received results it would be planned to create an interactive card of the district with the sights on it which would help everybody to plan the rest in the Volga region and to make it more interesting.
