Penza, 30 June 2011. PenzaNews. The performance "Birthday of the Cat Leopold" based on the play of Arcadiy Hayt staged by a beginner director Vladimir Karpov took place on the small stage of the Penza Regional Drama Theatre named after A.V. Lunacharsky on Thursday, June 30.

The Head of the literary and dramatic part of the theater Vitaly Sokolov said: "2 days before the official premiere of fairy tales, which should be held on July 2, about 50 hearing impaired children became its first viewers".

This action was done on the initiative of the artistic director of theatre Sergey Kazakov and the member of the Council on Disability at the Governor of the Penza region, the director of the charity fund "The Kind Gesture" Alexander Kazakov. According to organizers, such trips to the theater by hearing children would be held at least once a quarter.
