Penza, 5 July 2011. PenzaNews. The Penza Regional Drama Theater and the Fund of Studying of Peter Stolypin's Heritage are going to make a performance by the 150th anniversary of the birthday of this outstanding statesman which will be celebrated in 2012.

The head of literary-dramaturgic department of the theatre Vitaly Sokolov said: "The play will be written by the known Moscow playwright Olga Mihajlova based on the correspondence of the chairman of the council of ministers of Russia Peter Stolypin and well-known writer Lev Tolstoy".

He added that the contract with the playwright is preparing now.

Vitaly Sokolov said: "The ancient noble family Stolypinys to which Peter Arkadevich belonged is closely connected with the Penza region. In particular, Elizaveta Alekseevna Stolypina, Arsenyeva after marriage, was Michael Lermontov's grandmother and the mistress of country estate in Tarhany where the great poet spent his childhood".
