Penza, 14 July 2011. PenzaNews. The All-Russia scientifically-practical conference "M.J. Lermontov: the destiny of the poet in the 21st century", devoted to the 170th anniversary of the date of the death of the poet started to work in state Lermontov memorial estate "Tarkhany" in the Penza region on Thursday, July, 14th.

According to the editor-in-chief of the literary magazine "Sura" Boris Shigin , leading Lermontov scholars from Penza, Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Ulyanovsk, Taman and other cities of Russia took part in the conference, such as Svetlana Bojko, Peter Frolov, Nikolay Injushkin and Oleg Pugachev.

During two days it is planned to discuss the following questions: "Tragedy at Mashuk in last and modern interpritation", "Dialectics art and real Ego of M.J. Lermontov", "Analysis of the problems of Lermontov creativity in modern literary criticism", "About prototypes of the heroes Lerbmontov's works", "Lermontov-soldier: poetics and war realities", "Lermontovsky Tarkhany during the life and posthumous destiny of the poet", "Creativity and M.J. Lermontov's biography in high school and school teaching" and "Problems of museum interpretation of the biography and M.J.Lermontov's creative heritage".

It's planned to hold a round table for discussing the theme: "The Image of Lermontov in memoires and "yellow" press as an ethics problem".
