Penza, 12 September 2011. PenzaNews. Literary festival in honor of Kuprin will be held in the Penza region on September, 15th and 16th.

According to the head of the department of exhibitions of Association of the state literary-memorial museums Irina Korzhenko, during the first day the rewarding of winners and participants of Kuprinsky contest will take place in the Literary museum of Penza.

She said: "On September, 16th the main celebration will take place in Narovchat in Alexander Kuprin's museum. The museum celebrates the 30th anniversary in the beginning of September".

The museum of A.I.Kuprin was opened in Narovchat of the Penza region in September, 1981. The daughter of writer K. A. Kuprina took part in that ceremony and was one of the initiators of the opening of the museum. There are memorial presented by writer's daughter: archive of the Kuprins of the period of emigration (A.I. Kuprin's two autographs, the letters of writer's wife, letters and documents of K.A. Kuprina), household things of the writer (the wedding ring, the coffee maker, the flask etc.), books from his library. The collection contains also writer's lifetime publications and original illustrations of them.
