Ilya Borovitsky said: "We decided to make a performance based on Svetlana Aleksievich's book to remeber and honor the participants of the Great Patriotic War. We paid special attention to the role of women. A woman is meant to give birth not to kill".
According to Aleksandr Komrakov, the performance is full of patriotism. This feeling has begun to disappear recently in our country.
The actress said: "When I moved to Israel three years ago I understood what "patriotism" was. The Mayor of Israel city Ashdod came to my father who is the invalid of the Great Patriotic War just to shake hands every year on May, 9th. At first it amazed me but that is right and it should be so".
She added that in Israel mothers do not try to get their sons off the army but they are proud of them that their children served for the Native land.
Alexander Komrakova underlined that the performance "War hasn't got Woman's Face" is the first solo performance in her career.
She said: "Playing a role in a solo performance, you feel great responsibility".
As the news agency PenzaNews informed earlier, the solo performance "War hasn't got Woman's Face" based on Svetlana Aleksievich's book will be performed by an actress of Israeli theatre "Association of Actors" Aleksandra Komrakova on the small stage of the Penza regional drama theatre named after A.V. Lunacharsky on October, 14th and 15th.
In December the performance of Penza Drama Theater "Oscar and the Pink lady" will be performed by Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation Galina Repnaya in Izrael as a part of return visit.
