Penza, 19 October 2011. PenzaNews. The Penza student's folklore group "Lel" won Grand prix of the 4th international festival-competition of national singing-dancing art of children, youth and students "Young Russia, let's dance and sing!" which was held in Moscow from October, 13th till October, 15th.

According to the ministry of culture and archive of the Penza region, "Lel" competed with collectives from 35 cities of Russia and near abroad. There were groups RAM named after Gnesinyh, musical college named after Shnitke, art groups from Balashov, Saratov, Bashkortostan and Ukraine.

The source of the department said: "Being the best group of festival-competition the group "Lel" took part in all master classes which were held during the festival. Leading experts-specialists in folklore of Russia worked with the youngest group from Penza. The group "Lel" opened final gala concert of the festival. They performed together with the world famous Ryazan state chorus ruled by the national artist of the Russian Federation V.A. Pozdneev".
